Aura uses a dynamic AI-driven conversation — not a fixed questionnaire. Each question is generated in response to YOUR answers, creating a natural dialogue that adapts in real-time.
Why It Matters
Fixed questionnaires miss context. A 22-year-old computer science student and a 35-year-old career changer need entirely different questions. Aura's conversation model ensures you're never forced into someone else's framework.

Honest Scoring Note
This score is an AI-generated estimate based on what you share in the conversation — a directional guide to focus your next steps, not a normed or validated test result, and not comparable across people like a standardized score. Aura does not inflate scores: early-stage students typically land 35–55, actively pursuing professionals 65–80. A low number isn't a judgment — it's a starting point and a roadmap.
The Report Engine
Two-Model Architecture
Your report is generated by a separate AI model that reads your FULL conversation—not just individual answers. This means connections between your answers inform the analysis, creating deeper insights.

Every recommendation references specific things YOU said. No generic advice. No cookie-cutter templates.
Data & Privacy
Your conversation and results are stored securely and used only to improve your experience.
We track aggregate patterns (like archetype distribution across our community) to improve recommendations—but never at the individual level without your consent.
We never sell your data or share it with employers without your explicit consent.
What Informs Aura — and What It Isn't
Aura's design is informed by ideas from established career-development research. It does not administer, score, or reproduce any of these instruments — your archetype and readiness score are AI-generated interpretations of your conversation, not validated psychometric measurements.
Interest & environment fit
The idea, central to vocational psychology (e.g. Holland's RIASEC), that people thrive when their interests match their work environment. Aura does not administer the RIASEC inventory.
Career-readiness competencies
Employer-valued competencies popularized by NACE inform what 'ready' looks like. Aura is not a NACE assessment and does not produce NACE competency scores.
Strengths-based development
The principle that building on strengths beats fixating on gaps (echoing work like CliftonStrengths). Aura does not run CliftonStrengths or report its talent themes.
Intrinsic motivation
Self-Determination Theory's finding that autonomy, mastery, and purpose drive satisfaction shapes the questions Aura asks — it is not an SDT measure.
These bodies of work shape how we think about careers; they are not built into Aura as scored tests. If you need a validated instrument — for clinical, high-stakes, or hiring decisions — pair Aura with a normed tool. Aura is built for self-insight and momentum, not selection.
