By accessing or using Aura ("the Service"), available at useaura.net, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. The Service is owned and operated by IGotYou Career Services LLC ("we," "us," or "our").
Aura is an independent product operated by IGotYou Career Services LLC. Aura is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by any college, university, or educational institution. Career assessments, archetype classifications, readiness scores, and all other outputs are generated by our proprietary AI system and represent independent analysis — not academic advising, institutional guidance, or professional counseling.
Aura provides an AI-powered career intelligence platform that includes a conversational career assessment, career archetype identification, readiness scoring, personalized career intelligence reports, AI-powered resume review, LinkedIn profile optimization, interview preparation tools, and job matching features. Access to certain features requires a paid subscription (Aura+ or Accelerator tier).
You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you should have the consent of a parent or legal guardian before using the Service.
To access certain features, you must provide a valid email address and verify it through our passwordless authentication system. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your email account and for all activity that occurs under your Aura account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep it up to date.
Aura offers free and paid tiers. Paid subscriptions (Aura+ and Accelerator) are billed on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to paid features until then. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice. HBCU students with verified .edu email addresses may qualify for complimentary or discounted access at our discretion.
We offer a 7-day satisfaction guarantee on all paid plans. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a full refund within 7 days of the initial charge by contacting us. After 7 days, refunds are issued at our discretion. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear. See our Refund Policy page for full details.
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service; interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service; submit false, misleading, or fabricated information during your career assessment; attempt to manipulate, reverse-engineer, or extract the AI models, prompts, or algorithms powering the Service; use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service; resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Service or its outputs without our prior written consent; or use the Service to generate content that is harmful, abusive, or violates the rights of others.
The career assessments, reports, recommendations, and all other content generated by Aura are produced by artificial intelligence and are provided for informational and self-development purposes only. They do not constitute professional career counseling, academic advising, employment guarantees, financial advice, or any form of licensed professional guidance. AI outputs may contain inaccuracies, and you should exercise your own judgment when making career decisions. We do not guarantee any specific outcomes, including but not limited to job placement, salary levels, or interview success.
Because Aura operates independently from any educational institution, data you share with Aura is not considered an "education record" under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Information you voluntarily provide during your career assessment — including your major, GPA, work experience, and career goals — is collected directly from you as an individual consumer, not from any university system. Your data is governed solely by our Privacy Policy and these Terms of Service.
The Service, including its design, branding, AI models, prompts, assessment methodology, archetype framework, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by IGotYou Career Services LLC. Your career report and assessment results are yours to use for personal purposes. However, the underlying system, methodology, and technology remain our proprietary property. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works based on our assessment framework, scoring methodology, or archetype classification system.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience resulting from downtime, whether scheduled or unscheduled.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IGotYou Career Services LLC and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IGotYou Career Services LLC, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in the State of North Carolina, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action lawsuit.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
